Summary:
nnThe Activities Director plans, develops, coordinates and maintains an extensive program of activities designed to provide residents mental, physical and social stimulation to meet their personal identified individual needs, interests, and capabilities.
Provides opportunities for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression for all residents of the facility.
Assists the physically, emotionally and cognitively impaired individual and family to explore appropriate leisure interests.
Utilizes staff, family, volunteers and community resources in the completion of the job duties and responsibilities.
nnEssential Functions and
Responsibilities:
nn Assesses residents in relation to their interests, talents, previous lifestyles, and time use patterns.
Organizes and develops this information in order to contribute to the comprehensive assessment and care planning process as a part of the facility's interdisciplinary care planning team.
nn Develops activity care plans which assure that all residents are provided with recreational activities that are consistent with the needs and wishes of the resident groups, individual residents, bed-bound residents, self-sufficient residents, and the community as a whole.
The Actvitives Director assures that this care plan is integrated into the overall plan of care for each individual resident.
nn Establishes community and facility resources that can contribute to the activity program.
nn Creates an ongoing calendar of activities, which creatively meets multiple needs and is accessible and appealing to both men and women of all ages and abilities.
Provides a copy of the calendar to each resident's room and at least one large calendar displayed in facility.
nn Maintains records relating to the participation of each resident in activity programs and documents resident acceptance or lack of acceptance to these activities.
nn Secures materials, equipment, transportation (as required), entertainment, refreshments, program leaders, volunteers, and anything else that might prove necessary in order to adequately provide for scheduled activities.
nn Communicates and coordinates with other department heads and staff in order to assure the success of planned activity programs.
nn Evaluates activities and programs in order to determine resident outcomes.
Adjusts activities as necessary to increase the probability of successful outcomes.
nn Develops and operates within a budget for the activities program.
nn Recruits, trains, directs, utilizes, and provides periodic recognition for individuals who are direct reports or volunteer in the activity program.
nn Provides a minimum of one in-service education program per calendar year regarding the activity program, working with the cognitively impaired, and/or other related topics.
nn Will actively participate in QAPI (Quality Assurance Process Improvement) program, taking a proactive approach to quality care and services on a continuous basis with engagement of residents, family members and staff.
nn Demonstrates high standards of excellence for meeting resident needs.
Communicates effectively, establishes rapport and maintains relationships with residents.
nn Has fun in creating a positive atmosphere for residents in conjunction with our Core Values.
nn Follows instructions and completes daily assignments as assigned and is proactive to change.
nn Possesses understanding and compassion for the elderly population.
nn Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
nnEducation and
Experience:
nn High School Diploma or equivalency (required).
nn Prior experience working with elderly population (preferred).
nn Prior leadership and supervisory experience (preferred).
nnLicense/Certifications:
nn CPR Certification (preferred).
nnContinuing Educational Requirement:
nn Required to complete annual 12-hour in-service training programs (as well as supplemental online education).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
